During 2026 you’ll see the introduction of our brand name Hutch Family Honey appearing on our range of products.
Nothing in the business has changed we have NOT been ‘bought out’ or changed anything we do.
We are simply now telling our story much better, through a stronger brand name, rather than just using the generic name of Northumberland Honey.
The brand name introduction of ‘Hutch Family Honey’ has followed years of feedback from customers telling us they wanted to hear more of our story and see this feature on the products.
They also were easily confused with a generic name and is hard to separate out our brand from other producers of Northumberland Honey and as we have such an amazing story to tell we are now telling it, much stronger!
The decision behind the name.
We have family, provenance and quality at the heart of everything we do and need to tell that story more.
We keep the bees and even raise our own queen bees that head each of our 400+ colonies of bees. Producing the very honey we sell from our own bees here in Northumberland.
We are and always have been a family business, started by Luke and Suzie Hutchinson in 2015, and now in 2026 in our 11th year of trading, and growing.
We have our sights set on the future, with our children Archie and Jasper keen to learn and be involved in the ancient craft of beekeeping. With that in mind we wanted a brand name that was more in keeping with everything we stand for.
Family, Quality, Provenance. We feel that Hutch Family Honey does this perfectly.
You’ll see on our new labels the family is pictured on the back of the jar.
Importantly all the jars will keep the Northumberland Honey Company Logo and Text on the lids and tamper seals for the next 12 months at least whilst the transition continues, which we see as a complimentary evolution.

Please Note: The Lid Labels will continue to have Northumberland Honey Company on them for at least the next 12 months as we see the new brand name as a complementary evolution.
