I had a lovely surprise earlier this year when the mead making kit landed on my doorstep for my birthday. A great entry level kit and I love using it. I confess though the lovely honey bucket that comes with the kit , well I ate that on my toast ! Basically I had run out of honey and being lazy had the kit honey then had to buy some more honey to get started with the kit. If I needed another excuse to buy more excellent honey from Luke and Suzie that’s it!! Any way the kit was all brilliantly packed in the same highest quality materials that I have come to expect from this company, who are head and shoulders above others in the marketplace. I highly recommend this product , but I also suggest buying at least one bottle of Northumberland Honey Sparkling Mead to keep you company while your homemade mead bubbles away !

I bought this as an anniversary gift for my husband. We have been thrilled with it. Luke and Suzie work so hard to make sure everything is just perfect. We started the Honey the mead on 27th February. Following the instructions makes it so simple but so enjoyable. The honey is superb as you lift the lid on the container, the aroma hits you. It is like walking through the meadow but sweeter. Their honey is by far the best we have ever tasted. It is stunning. I had a job trying to stop my husband from guzzling it. If you are thinking of starting a new venture into making mead – PLEASE use this kit. Suzie has compiled a full instruction list. Which contains, a list of ingredients and FULL instructions for the recipe for making the mead. Sterilizing tablets. The best honey, the equipment. The instructions are fully comprehensive and simple to follow. So you do not feel out of your depth. The kit is reusable. You will just need to purchase the lovely honey. Which we will be doing.
